Letting People Go
Sometimes even when you still love someone you have to let them go. That is the problem I was facing recently. As much as I loved this girl, she had hurt me too many times and she had gotten enough chances. I couldn’t put myself through it anymore, and I had to start defending myself so that I didn’t get hurt anymore. Doing the right thing can be hard, but it has to be done. I am a changed person now though–I am not sure if I am weaker or stronger, but I know it’s for the better. I went through a lot and as much as I wish the ending could have turned out differently, I am happy it all happened. I learned a lot about myself and saw sides of myself that I had never seen before–and she is the one that brought that out. So I thank her for that. But if she is reading this, I have to say my final goodbye…goodbye. I wish all the best for you. I truly did love you.
