Send Somebody (VIDEO)

by chase on October 18, 2007

I wrote half of this song before I met someone, and the other half after I started seeing someone. It didn’t work out though. It is from my new EP, “Your Last Day Alive“–which is available from iTunes and other digital retailers. The song is called, “Send Somebody” (iTunes). Below is a video performance of it. Enjoy.

Here are the lyrics:

Is anybody out there?
Can you send me someone
Can you send me something
I’m so lonely, I can’t sleep
Can you send me somewhere
Where I never wake up
Where I’m always drunk enough
to get through my life
Please can you send somebody
So I can sleep tonight

Hold a hand while I’m driving
Cuddle and watch a movie
A reason to dim the lighting
Some kisses when I’m horny

Is anybody out there?
Can you send me someone
Can you send me something
I’m so lonely, I can’t sleep
Can you send me somewhere
Where I never wake up
Where I’m always drunk enough
to get through my life
Please can you send somebody
So I can sleep tonight

A reason for the drive-in
A new scent to always miss
A reason to always win
To say, “Does life get better than this?”

Is anybody out there?
Can you send me someone
Can you send me something
I’m so lonely, I can’t sleep
Can you send me somewhere
Where I never wake up
Where I’m always drunk enough
to get through my life
Please can you send somebody
So I can sleep tonight

I’d like to make some photos and memories
Drink a bottle of wine that’s not just for me
Oh please

Is anybody out there?
Can you send me someone
Can you send me something
I’m so lonely, I can’t sleep
Can you send me somewhere
Where I never wake up
Where I’m always drunk enough
to get through my life
Please can you send somebody
So I can sleep tonight
